A little luck

Just for fun I have entered competitions in my local paper on four occasions and I have one a prize three times. Now is this because not many people enter? Probably! Tickets to a vitality health show and two £2 discount vouchers for farmfoods. The tickets gave me a free day out in Glasgow and discount vouchers always come in handy. If only my lottery numbers would come up.
I also won tickets to a Mystic day in London from another magazine. If only they would pay for my fare to London and some accomodation thrown in would be good but no the tickets are just for the event.
These good the beginings of something bigger. Fingers crossed of course.

Sad

I am still feeling sad. I miss my cat Katie.
There are so many sad things happening in the world. Like today the shocking car/truck bombs in Northern Iraq. Nearly 150 dead and scores injured, why? Is it really in retaliation for the death of a young women, stoned to death by her family and community because she married a Muslim? Some obscure Kurdish Sect angry that one of their own married out of their religion? The Iraqis do not like the Kurds and vis versa, so it is a good enough reason for them to commit mass murder.
Wonder if her family will ever regret what they have done. They are reaping really bad karma.

Katie Kat

My little monster of a cat Katie has died.

She was hit by a car and killed instantly. My heart broke and I have been in floods of tears.

She was only 17 months old. She was just starting to sleep on my lap and she was getting a little more friendly. She never grew very big, only half the size of a normal cat. Her front legs were bowed and she walked with a odd gait.

In the month before she died she had discovered voles and presented me with one live one and five dead ones. I laughed with Tom saying she was destroying the local population. There was nothing we could do to stop her. It made a change from birds.
I miss her so much.
